The customer required specific lighting for the Pilates studio so that they were able to dim up and down depending on what classes will be undertaken.
We worked alongside the customer from the original concept, all the way through to designing it for them, sourcing the appropriate lights and the full installation.
One of the priorities was that the light fittings need to be anti-glare so when the Pilates studio was being used, the clients would not have a bright light directly in their face.
We fully rewired all of the light fittings and had to take into account the correct cabling for the dimmable system. All the wiring is above a false ceiling, so due to regulations they require metal fire rated fixings throughout.
We work alongside multiple trades at the same time, meaning keep time frames had to be kept tight within our teams, to ensure th wiring is installed before the ceiling goes up. The once the ceiling is installed, we can then put our lights into the ceiling grid.
Alongside this, we also have to take into account the carpenters, painters and decorators, floor layers, window fitters, air-conditioning and staff.
We always work to a schedule that suits the client making sure that everything runs smoothly and there are no hiccups on the way.
Once everything has been completed and fully tested, we sign off the job and give all the appropriate paperwork to the client.
We arrange a site meeting and go through how everything works so they have a smooth transition into every day use.
